Computer sound on connecting to AOL
Is there a way to turn off the computer connecting noise when connecting with AOL?

I'm guessing that you have an Internal Modem???
You didn't give your OS.... goto Control Panel>Modems> Click on your modem and click Properties. You can change the Volume here. or Open the Sound Control (Speaker Icon in Systray) If a look for a Modem Sound Volume, you may have to goto Options>Properties and select to view the Modem Sound Volume

I don't know why exactly they make you listen to that sound (beep, low beep static hiss beep etc.) Maybe so you know it's doing something.
