Netowrk Newb. Please Help

I am pretty new at trying to network two computers so forgive me if this is sounds simple.

I am trying to network two different computers in two different houses. One is running ME and the other is running XP. The ME computer uses a dial-up connection while the XP uses high speed. Can anyone tell me how to do this in laymans terms?

If the computers are in two different locals and you want to share files/folders between them and remote access one from the other then you will need to use tools that will do such things. There are tons of tools out there that can do just that anything from p2p tools to ftp, VNC, VPN and so on. Each have their strenths and weaknesses and each have different system req's as well. A good place to start some research on what might be best for you is: http://www.largefilestransfer.com/ if you scroll down the page they list many options for sharing files over the internet from free to pay. After you think you have found the best service or tool that works for you if you have any questions feel free to post back here and we can help you out from there.
