XP and FAT 32

Hi,

I recently upgraded my second computer from Windows ME to XP Home. All went well. I am now trying to network both using a DLink wired router. I am having no luck and am wondering if the fact that my main machine, a Dell, running XP Home, with NTFS, is conflicting with the other machine, which is still running FAT 32. If so, should I switch the other machine to NTFS?

It will make no difference to the network.

Convert it to NTFS if you want increased security and file system features, but backup first just in case.
