Westell Wireless Adapter
I recently had to do a reinstall of Windows on my sister's desktop. She has a Westell 802.11G Wireless USB Adapter. It worked perfectly fine before the reinstall. Now, it won't work. I am assuming this is because I need to put in the installation software that came with it. However, this is not something we have (I have searched through the house, shes not the best at keeping track of things for her computer). Westell's website does not offer any downloadable software/drivers for their adapters. The modem tech support is present, but the modem does not require a driver of any kind. I have e-mailed Westell and not received a response. I would call them, but there number is not toll free. Does anyone know where I can find the software? Or how I go about getting it? Or can I set it up without the software?
Thanks. Kara |

I think we can help you find what you need. If you could post back with a little info for us it would help however. Look on the bottom of the USB adapter someplace on there should be a model number and version number. If you could post back with both those numbers it would help out mod's and members to track down what you need and most likely provide you with a link to the download.

Numbers....
I checked the back of the adapter for additional numbers, unfortunately, there must have been a sticker or something on the back that got peeled off and ripped part of the tag. Im not really sure, but for some reason part of the sticker is ripped off. I have one number: A90-211WG-01, and I am not sure what number it is, lol. Sorry! Thanks for responding!

Thats a dead link VirtualMe you might want to update it. As far as that adapter goes A90-211WG looks alot like a model number to me and the 01 smacks of a ver number. I'll look around the net and ask that any of our members/mods do the same and post back any links they find for drivers in here.

I tried that link, downloaded the Card Bus Driver, and installed. The installation came up and appeared to work. But it now says the card is missing and still won't work. I poked around on the Verizon site and it mentions something about installing the software, then later on installing the drivers. Perhaps this is still missing the software portion?
