Hello! I have an IBM Think Pad and it has Windows 98SE installed on it. Awhile ago I put a password on it so that If I enable it at shut down, a password will be required to bring the computer back up. While I haven't ever enabled it yet, I would like to start doing so but I forgot the password. Is there anyway to look up the password in the system so that I can start using this feature??? Please e-mail me directly at hnf1979@aol.com
Thank you in advance for your help!

Welcome to CTH, hnf1979. Ummm, unless I'm very much mistaken, you won't be getting any solution posted from CTH members or staff. The problem is that we have no way of knowing for sure that the computer is actually yours. We have no real way to determine if you are trying to gain unauthorized access to another person's computer and/or system.

Also, computer help is offered in the public forum (not via email) so that other members can benefit from the knowledge/ideas offered. And we all learn when a user posts the solution. :)

Good luck.
