CD Player Problem

I own a Daewoo XL-128 its got a 3 disk cd rotary changer, I bought it about 2-3 years ago and used it about a dozen times, when i press open to put a c.d in the disk changer i get an error which says "Cd error" the disk changer comes out about 1-2 inchs and goes back in not allowing me to instert the c.d

Sometimes i can open it without a problem other times i get this error,as i said the c.d player hasnt been used much since i bought new.

When i play the c.d's i turn them up loud and the song skips or directly jumps to the next song on the c.d. and when i walk past the stereo i find it skips?

anyone know what could be wrong with it? :hmm:

Is there some software accessing the CD when you try to open? Even as a "background operation?"

If so the software may be showing the CD carousel in use and attempting to keep the drawer closed.

I cured a similar problem with a seldom-used DVD drive on a computer by opening the tray using the paper-clip trick and vacuuming it out. I used small "electronic appliance" attachments on the vacuum cleaner.
