I recieved DSL, and installed it 2 days ago, and today i just recieved a call telling me it was ready to install, so I reinstalled the hardware and software. When I first log on to Windows it will work, but about 10-20 minutes after signing in my connection will be lost. Please help!

I recieved SBC dsl service and I am have a terrible time staying connected. I have re installed the service 3 times with no luck. Please help me on where to get started.

Hello, I had the same problems,
Open internet explorer and enter the address 192.168.0.1. this accesses the DSL modem. Click on "Advanced", Click on "Connection Configuration", Enter the MAC address. (Its listed on the DSL Modem). Scroll down to "Home Network Configuration". Check the "Override default (10 minutes) with value below" and add 1 Day. Only Change that item. Now the IP address wont be released for 24 hrs and 10 min. Save Changes and restart the DSL Modem. Problem should be gone.
problem was the time that the DHCP was set to (10 Min) - increased it to 24 hrs:10 min
