Connection problem
Hi, I have a cable modem and my computer is connected to the router. It shows that it is connected and I can load up some websites but when I try to do a search or anything it wont work most of the time. Also when I try to get on AIM I can sign on but it never loads up my buddylist and will eventually just disconnect me. Lastly when I try and play a game online, I can load up the game and everything but once I log in, it will just disconnect me within a few seconds
Something might have happened through command prompt or something? I don't know, my friend had tried to mess around with things before when I had wireless and now that I am directly connected to the router this is happening. Although when I change back to wireless everything will run fine. Whats going on?? I don't know much of anything about computers so any suggestions of how to fix it would be great. Thanks.
