Try this:
Boot it into safe mode
(Turn Computer on and hold ctrl while it's loading up)
Then adjust the settings to what he wants. Now restaart it like normal.

God love ya Eric. You are so very helpful!

peruney, if you aren't sure about safe mode or don't want to try that first, go into the settings like you've been doing and choose the changes. Then hold ALT and press the A key and enter. It will take the settings changes. I'm going to 'assume' the problem is due to the resolution settings.

This probably started when a program caused an error or somethign of the sort. This hapened to me. SInce many porgrams change your resolution and when they are done changed it back(mostly games) if they suddenly stop your left with a different resolution.

Hi to all, Dashwood your advice worked great. Enat66, holding ctrl didnt work but holding F8 did. Anyway it is taken care of and all is OK for now.I am not sure but we were in msconfig and when we hit apply it went nuts.
Weatherman, Thanks for the tip but I have had Belarc for quite a while and find it a valuable tool.
Thanks to all peruney

Enat66, I got a question, You got sumpin going with Dashwood ?

You welcome Max and thanks for the help you gave me in the past. My ignorance was the cause of long posts.
BTW would you please inform me how to post a printout of belarc so if need be all could see what I got for better evaluation of the prob. (imadummy)
Thanky mucho peruney

You would have to copy and paste it to wherever needed. Or if you mean print out a sheet, you might have to write it down.

Good Luck

Weatherman is correct...simple highlight and copy/paste will do the trick for posting at the forums. However...in most cases, there is really no need to post all of the Belarc report. Just the pertinent items for troubleshooting purposes. Also, since Belarc is pretty thorough in what it reports (including installed software), you may not want to post everything for the whole world to see. You can be selective with it.

ROFL! How funny but true. That's what makes the net ironic. You can be friends and not even know eachother.
