I'm tyring to figure out what the IP of each comp within our network is. All of the comps are behind an SMC router. I know we are using internal IPs which I think are only on the internal network (IE 10.10.10.1 and 10.10.10.129, like that). Can some one point me in the right direction? Oh I tried using broadband reports IP ID feature, and each comp would ping back the IP of the router.

Hi JustinPMI,
You have the computers private IP
or
the computers router assigned IP
I'm not quite sure which one your after. Is this something
winipcfg can't show you?

I need to get the assined IP of each comp. I'm trying to set them up so that I can run Radmin on them while out on bussiness trips. But to do so I need the IPs and the only one I can seem to find is that of the router. In the settings of the router the IPs for the machine are Static and set to last for a week (this was configed by the our ISP). Some one told me of some sort of program I can install on them machines. And then run though the web which will basically track down and tell me what the IP of the machine is at that time. *edit* winipcfg isn't on XP Pro, or I just can't find it

do you know the local IP of your router? you should be able to log on to the router from IE by entering the IP and then giving your login info [however you originally set it up]. somewhere there should be a table of all the computers connected and their IP addresses.
this is how my NetGear router works, not sure if all of them allow logging in, but i would assume so, or how else do you set ports to be open and all that jazz?
