COLNVERT.EXE Application Error - Windows 2000 [Archive]

On my Windows 2000 Laptop, I have been getting this error and occassional systems freeze. The error message reads like this COLNVERT.EXE - Application error. The instruction at "0x002f0676" referenced memory at "0x0000003c". The memory could not be "read".

What is this and what should I do?
