slow startup after update windows 2000

My laptop started up super fast before the last critical updates, not sure which one. Anyone know how to speed up the start up back up again? Used to start up in about 30 to 60 seconds, now it takes about 3 or 4 minutes to get to the login screen. Haven't installed any new programs, don't have any spyware, viruses or anything, the system is clean. System runs great after the slow startup.

Glad to hear it runs well after it starts up. It may just be something you will have to put up with? Take Care
