Faxing with dsl

Is there a problem using the Windows XP Communications/Fax application with a dsl connection? If so, is there some simple way around it? (I have tried it and received an error message indicating no phone connection.)

You will need to hook a phone line to a dialup modem in order to fax. Faxes are nothing more than phone calls sending data instead of voices.

If your computer has a dialup modem, all you have to do is hook a line from the phone jack to the modem, set up your fax program to use it and you'll be good to go.
