Hi I have been looking for help. I don't know if anyone can help or not. I got a microtel from walmart.com, I bought it two months age. I decided I would bye one with lindows on it and if I did not like lindows I would reformat it and put windows 98 SE on it, well I did reformat and load 98 on it. I have had a problem with it that no one has been able to help me with, First let me tell you that I called microtel about this problem and they had me send it back to them, so I did they sent it back to me telling me that there was nothing wrong with it. So I used it and the same problem was still there I called them again and they sent me a new computer, and after I got the new one I sent back the first one, this one has the same problem as the first. OK now I will tell you the problem I am having, When I click on IE and connect to the net the computer conects but the web page delays for about sixty seconds before opening the page. this does not happen every time. about one out of four or five times, this is just the beginning as I surf the net and I click from one page to the next I get the same delay and about the same % of the time. I have been from one message board to the next looking for help, they have asked me all sorts of questions, like did I download a program that might be causing it, are my resources low when this happens, the answer is no, it stays about 80 % A few people say this delay is normal, I have been surfing for two years now and never had this type of delay. some people say it's my ISP it's not, When I click on a link I keep an eye on the little icon next to the clock and nothing happens, after the delay the icon flash and the web page comes up. One more strange thing happens but it seemed to stop after about a week. I play card games on the computer and as I was playing the cards stared to deal slower and slower un-till it would not deal at all I had to turn the computer off and then turn it on and the cards would deal fine for awhile then do the slow thing again. This problem seems to have stopped at lest for now. The delay and The card thing happened on the first computer too. so now I am not sure if this problem is a hard ware or soft ware problem. If you can help that would be great. If not thats ok no one has been able to so far. I Thank you
