hi guys,

i have a machine that's running on win 2000. of late the machine has been extremely slow and i suspect that something else is running in the background because i have scanned with norton anti-virus 2003 (with the current updates) and i'm getting no virus. i remember trying to type 'msconfig' in win 98 and xp and i get to see the programs that are running on start up but with win 2000, i can't seem to get through.

any ideas as to how i can see the programs that are loading on start-up?

Howdy:

Win2000 does NOT have the msconfig option.. However, you can use the XP version with it..
