Hi, My problem is when I log on at start up, it comes up that the DEC2.DLL file is missing. So I downloaded the missing file from the net which is in the zip temp file. My problem is how do I get the computer to find this file so it wont come up with the error message at start up. In desperate need of your help, which will very much be appreciated.
Thanks

Hello efty66
Looks like that dll file is associated with Symantec (anti-virus program).
The file most likely needs to be in this program's directory. This directory is where the program is installed.

Hi Tweaker
Its me again. Thanks for your help on where this file should be. I tried putting the folder that was in the zip temp folder into the Norton Antivirus folder but now when I log in it says the C:/Programfiles/Norton Antivirus/DEC2.DLL could not be found. Which is exactly where it is. A bit baffled here, not really comp savvy. All help is appreciated.
Thanks

Have you tried reinstalling Norton?

Have you tried reinstalling Norton? Remove it first and then re-install it.

Remove it first and then re-install it.
Yes, that would probably work best. ;)
