Got error message

fatal exception OE at 0028:C160562F in VXD USBDSK9X(01) + 0002FCF

System is windows 98 se
Pentium II

Recently downloaded Registry Repair Pro by 3B Software.

Also recently tried to get a Logitech chat webcam installed but missing drivers wouldn't allow it to work. So then I finally bought a Windows 98 system disk to try to download these drivers and had to get Winzip but its just a trial 21 day version. Thought I'd better let u know all.

I'm guessing there's something to do with a USB but really it's double dutch to me.

Where do I go from here. Error message comes up everytime I try to shutdown - no problems on start up after switching off at wall!

Already tried several things thru aumha.org

Help please.

Is the webcam USB and did you get the error after hooking it up? If so and you just did this within the last 5 days. Unplug it from the USB, then boot to MS/DOS and type in scanreg/restore and restore it to the day it was working ok.(this may mess up what you downloaded so you might want to save them to a disk or burn to a CD or you might have to download or re-install them again) Then reboot and Then try your shutdown normally. If it shuts down ok after that then right click on your my computor icon/properties/device manager and look and see if your USB has a yellow ! by it.

Winzip is free Winzip (http://www.freesoftwarehq.com/)

So then I finally bought a Windows 98 system disk to try to download these drivers Don't understand what you bought as drivers are free online and drivers for your webcam should have come with it.

Anyway do the above first and lets see how that goes.

Winzip is free Winzip (http://www.freesoftwarehq.com/)

That link goes to a site that wants $37.95 for
unlimited access to downloads. Not free.

I use a program called FreeZip that's pretty good.

My WinZip program installs to A:/ and that's just
a pain. That's the only reason why I clicked.
