IE 6 Cache Question
By some miracle of the gods, I don't have a problem at the moment but would like to ask if clearing the cache (temp files) in IE 6 actually deletes the index.dat files with the url's as opposed to the earlier versions. I could of course install a program to do so but why bother if I don't need it. To be honest about it, I don't really need to, I guess. . .just the principle of the thing. Thanks.

Hi johng - I just checked, nope, not if you remove the files using Tools > Internet Options > Delete Files. You can of course remove it from Explorer but it just rebuilds itself.

Ok...thanks much. I thought that to be the case. Like I say, not that big a deal. In the grand scheme of things, it's definitely not a priority. BTW, I'll take this opportunity to again express my appreciation for the help that this site has been. I deleted the url's from the other help sites as this has been the most productive one, for sure.
