I have a couple of issues that have arisen after an installation of Windows 2000 Professional with SP4 onto a new hard drive.
1.) In the add/remove program screen the icon for the program shows, but no program name appears. The tool still operates normally, but I'm not sure what some of the icons are for. Any idea what may be causing this?
2.) This first happened with IE 6. I can't type in the search field or any other field, save the address bar. I don't use IE anymore as I much prefer firefox 1.5. In Firefox I can type in the search field and the address bar, but if another window opens--let's say a program registration screen-- I can not type in that field either. I have relaxed my internet security settings to medium-low and removed cookies, and reinstalled IE and Firefox from new downloads, but this issue still seems to happen. Any ideas on this one too?
