;) How do you change the name of a link?

For instance, if I want to post this link: http://www.free-av.com/
But show it as: Anti-Vir

How is this done?

The Step-by-step for adding a link to a post:
1. Click on the "Post Reply" button
2. Type your post
3. Highlight the word or words you want to turn into a link
4. Above where you typed your message, click on the button that looks like a blue globe with a paperclip (which is supposed to be a chain link)
5. Type or paste the URL into the box that appears
6. Click OK

The words you highlighted will now be a link to the URL you entered.

I don't know about you guys, but sometimes when the hyperlink shows up,
a highlighted HTTP:// in the Url address box. One would think pasting over a highlighted section would erase what's in there and put your link in. But sometimes you have 2 http:// http:// in the address after you hit apply.
I'm now in the habit of erasing the highlighted http:// and then pasting url.
No probs then. It only happens sometimes and then causes bad link. :fyi:

I get that sometimes, usually when I'm fiddling with the mouse and just before pasting it, it gets un-highlighted.

I type out my [url=] tags manually, like a real man :D

Gotta agree with Oracle - for me, it's 'cause of laziness. I find it easy to type [ url= Ctrl-V key ]the name I want to use here and then end it with [ /url].

I like to just copy and paste the link so people can see who and what it is about.

I copy the link into the 'reply post' box then hi-light it and over-type with what I want it to say (not using the space bar). Bit cack-handed but I didnt know another way till a few days ago.....

I would but I cannot see the keys on the keyboard - always have trouble with symbol location.

I usually do what oracle128 and zipulrich do (type it out manually) most of the time. I think that it's just so I don't have to move my hand from the keyboard to the mouse. I also type out smilies if I use them, because I usually use Quick Reply.

I would but I cannot see the keys on the keyboard - always have trouble with symbol location. Do you have one of these (http://www.daskeyboard.com/face.html)? ;)

I ctrl c and ctrl v my link. Highlight it and type over the top.

Is this the same?
