Can I have a system disk free on Internet?
which would be the stages to correct the error?

First you didn't say what problems you were having. I assume it just won't boot. Several things to try if it has just happened.

1. Tap on F8 as it's booting until you hear a beep. This should bring up a menu giving you several options. One will be to boot normally. Try that. If that doesn't work then choose the one that says command prompt only and type this after the c:/ prompt scanreg/restore and pick a date when it was working. (this will only work if the problem happened within the last 5 days)

If that didn't fix it then..........

2. Look in my sig and click on the bootdisk link and get a Win98 boot disk.(it will fit on a floppy).

It is when I made the maintenance of C that at the end of cleaning there was
a presentation of the programs which had been cleaned disk and there were
other programs which remained and were indicated with a hook. I have to ask
to also clean these files and programs. At this time, my menu to start very
lost its icons of program and when I closed the computer and redémarer it
gave me the screen Compaq and then a black screen and a point which
flickered with the top of the screen. I think that I have to remove a
program system. when I plac the boot Windows 98 the computer posts that
this diskette is not a diskette of system.
