will this work=========== Iexplore caused an invalid page fault in module Kernel32.dll. CAUSE This behavior can occur if your password list (PWL) file is damaged. RESOLUTION To resolve this issue, use the following steps: 1.Click Start, point to Find, and then click Files Or Folders.2.In the Named box, type *.pwl, and then click Find Now. 3.In the list of found files, right-click each file, and then click Delete. Repeat step 3 until all of the .pwl files are deleted.4.On the File menu, click Close.5.Restart the computer. The password list files are re-created automatically when you log on to Windows.6.Download the Mspwlupd.exe file from the following Microsoft Web site, and then double-click the file to run it. NOTE: You do not need to perform this step if you are running Windows 95 OSR2 or Windows 98.The following file is available for download from the Microsoft Download Center: Download Mspwlupd.exe now (http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...s/mspwlupd.exe)For additional information about how to download Microsoft Support files, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: |

In step 2 above, make sure you typed the name in find: *.pwl (no spaces)
Also when you look in start/find, make sure the 'Look In' box points to your c: drive. I looked at the download of M$ file and the first thing it said was:"This program updates the Windows 95 password list library. Do you want to continue?" I entered 'no' and came back here to post this. Have you tried start/setup/control panel/add-remove programs and find IE and choose remove. This should bring up an option to repair IE. But if it finds anything wrong, I can't remember if you then need windows 98 cd to repair or if it will do it online. The laplink I referred to in my PM may not be an option unless your laptop is identical to the one you want to download. These laptop CD installs make sure all the unique drivers designed for your laptop are installed correctly. People install a different OS all the time, but finding the right drivers for your specific hardware is sometimes a bear. Let us know.
