Settings
I have just reinstalled Win98 - and find the setting is now at 640 x 480 and I can't change it. The slider isn't moving. What can I do?

Welcome to CTH norm.
Have you installed the updated drivers for your video card? If you can't change the resolution, sounds like you either have to install them from the CD that came with the PC or download them from the company's site.

Or if you can't find it post the video card type and model here and we will find one for you. Also make sure your not in safe mode.

Hi norm price, welcome to Cyber Tech Help.
Download Belarc Advisor, install it, run it, and it will tell you what graphics card/chip you have... it will be under Display which is listed in the right side column. Tell us what it says you have, and we should be able to get you something to click-on that will fix your problem.

Really appreciate the helpful messages - thanks.
Downloaded Belarc Advisor and it shows the following: Standard PCI Graphics Adapter (VGA) [Display Adapter] plug and play monitor Windows doesn't even recognise that 'new hardware' has been installed! |
