Anyone know the best angle for a wheelchair ramp? Only have about 8 - 10 feet to work with. Gracias.

I believe that a public ramp is supposed to have a slope of no more than 12 ft. per every 1 ft. up.

How high up does it have to be?
Also, is the person going to move him/herself, be pushed, or have an electric wheelchair?

Well, if the rise was 3.1415926535897932384626433832795028841971693993.. .(too lazy to type more)
if the 12:1 ratio was kept, the ramp would be about
37.699111843077518861551720599354...ft.

PS: (more on topic) How wide is the wheelchair? Make sure to leave plenty of extra room.

May all your wishes come true also.
Seems to me you'd want some specs on psi as in how many psi to support said ramp in the first place.

Appreciate the responses. "According to code" where I live means do it quick on the weekend and throw dirt on it to make it look used. The 12 to 1 was what I needed as a starter, then we'll skip trig and cheat where we can on that.

lol, _my_ psi isn't Pounds per Square Inch =P I prefer the metric system anyways, 'cause I'll need to know it for my future endeavors. ^_^

But you live in America where metric is only used in hospitals (to confuse the living shiite out of us) and nut drivers to work on all American cars.
I think I can take a car apart with about 5 metric sockets.

If I can do it with 5 metric sockets, I'll be right over.

A hole in your carp pond? I'd suggest you drain out all the water, and fill it up with dirt, then put the water back in of course! As for the carp... eh, I guess you can take them out along with the water...

Hmm... get a tube, and fill it up with dirt... Then put the bottom of the tube at the top of the hole, and push the dirt through with something? Lols, it really is quite a dilemma... =S
