what did i do?

Basically,about a week ago I downloaded BearShare which is what my friend had on her computer so i thought it'd be fine,but she forgot to tell me that it came with a virus.She knew it had a virus too because she said that she just runs the virus cleaner when she downloads it,and it works.Well it would've helped me if she had told me before!
Anyway,I thought i'd have to restore the whole computer,as it said Windows protection error,please restart.and even if i did get to the desktop it kept getting another error,which i cant remember,
So i but the PB Boot disk in,and it had the option Windows Setup,which on the previous occasion of restoring wasnt there.
So i did that,and my computer works perfect!What did it do?

Well restoring your registry USUALLY WORKS (Not all the time mind you)

Just be carefull when installing things!!!!

Ok ty!I was just curious..Yeh it rocks.But you cant always have stuff on it because its quite old e.g Google Earth
