I have seen a number of posts where the poster is using a number of different A V programmes as some find things, others don,t find. When I tried this, my system went down and Windows had to be re installed and the fellow doing it said my problem was caused by these different programmes conflicting with each other,so he removed them all except one.
I did make sure at the time that only one programme ran at a time, the others were on the desktop .How can I store these other programmes without them affecting each other? In other words all the others were disconnected or so I thought.

You keep the original program(s) install CD, *.exe, or *.zip files backed up on a CD or a hard drive.

You don't want them installed on the computer at all.

I should have mentioned that cd/dvd burners and their software can have the same conflicts.
same rule applies, only one installed (burning program).
