picture uploads

i have been trying to upload pics.from folder to community album in msn but after clicking upload the folder remains empty. i also have same with attachments to e mail in msn. will atach ok but when sent end up in out box not recieved. i am new to comp. and there is a lot to learn. using windows xp pro.
