Printing a double sided poster in publisher

Ok guys, quick question... Ive got a fancy Canon CP660 Printer and Im looking to print a double sided poster using publisher, now I know that my printer supports this but how do I tell publisher what Im trying to do!
Sorry if this is an obvious one but Im totally knew to publisher and it will take a bit of getting used to!

Alternatively if u know of any other application that may suit me better then that would be handy too!!

thanks

andy

hey Andy, welcome to the forum.
What version of MS Publisher and what size page are you using?

OK, well it SHOULD be simple if you have the correct drivers and the CP660 does indeed support Full Duplex printing...

Print on both sides of the paper (duplex printing)

Not all printers can print on both sides of the paper. If you’re not sure, check your printer manual or consult your printer manufacturer to see if your printer supports duplex printing, or to get the exact name of the option and where it's located in the Properties dialog box.

On the File menu, click Print Setup.

Click Properties.

Click More Options.

Click the option you want.

Click OK three times.

There's no More Options button
Your printer does not support duplex (two-sided) printing. Instead, you can either:

Manually feed the paper into the printer a second time.

Or get up-to-date drivers:
http://www.canon.com.au/products/cop...0_drivers.html
but according to this:
http://www.canon.com.au/products/cop...660_specs.html
the duplexing unit is an optional extra - are you sure yours has it?

Mabey the most helpfull post ive ever seen, cheers mate,

was that instructions for publisher? and your right I will need to check that it supports it, ive been told it does but I will need to double check!

What Im looking for is publisher to give me 2 pages (front and back) on the screen at the one time so I can see what Im doing!

Im away to check if this printer is full duplex , Im a little worried about that now!

Hey again Andy,

What we need to do is eliminate printer drivers from the equation.

How we do that I'm not sure, I'm not sure it would show up in Windows Printers or (since I've never had one to look at) but is it possible you can find out from someone who has printed duplex on that printer on your network to take a look at their printer settings to see if it looks any different to yours?

Andy, what I am saying is that if Windows doesn't know you can connect to a duplex printer, there is no way Publisher will be able to instruct it to print both sides.
Once we are sure that Windows knows you have a duplex printer, we have eliminated drivers from the cause of the problem and can then look at publisher (if my earlier advice taken from Publisher's Help files are no use).
