Partitioned hd and now CD-ROM does not work

I just added a 4th partition to my hd and it moved the CD-ROM Writer to "G" and my CD-ROM to "H" but neither will work. Current Drive Letter Assignment in Device Manager is showing the correct letters. When I put a CD in it starts but then tells me to insert the CD. Any suggestions as to how I need to fix this is appreciated.

Many applications you installed when the drive letters were F & G instead of G & H will still be looking for the OLD drive letter for the CD.

Only real option is to reinstall the application so it knows the new drive letter to look for.

Thanks smurfy, I never thought of that but it makes sense. I will reinstall one of the programs and see what happens.
