it is not that because my server connection is OK all the time, it is my internet connection that needs refreshing

Hi Eki, you just lost me. WHat do you mean by 'server connection'? How many network cards are in the PC? How is the PC connected to the internet (router/router & modem)? What kind of internet connection do you have (cable/DSL/dialup)?

PS. mugsy I am just hoping to move along getting to the bottom of the problem, I hope you don't mind and thanks for helping out around here.

OK here are more details. I have 1/2 or less of T1. There is hub with few computers, file server, one printer and router (Nortel Net). So, my connection with server is constant all time, but if I use internet specially if I am searching changing different web pages often, I would loose it in 2 min. If I am at one page I would be able to stay for hours changes only pages with in the same web site.
I am having hard time with my English, but I hope that you understand it now.
Thanks

OK, I think I have it. You are having trouble loading web pages into your browser and have to hit refresh in the browser to get them to load sometimes. Is this correct?

No, I do not hit refresh in my browser, I hit repair in my local area connection(after you right click on it). After repairing itself (whatever it is doing) I am able to go on my internet search...

Z1P,

It may sound as a fun, but it is not, I am very serious. I am new at this job, actualy it is only 50% of work that I do. I constantly feel preasure from my boss:
" How come you can't fix it?"

I just started learning trying to get my first MCP. I've bought a bunch of books, but in all those books you can not find real life problems. I hope that I do not sound as making fun of anybody, my intension is to survive here and to go for MCSE and move to some other company. Problem is that I do not know anybody who can help, I am the only person that work this job here. Again this is small company and I am willing to learn. I realy appreciate Your interest in my problem.
Eki

Eki, I am not taking this as a joke. I'm sorry it appeared that way. I'm trying to get a full picture of what is failing.

When the problem is happening can you run ipconfig /all in a DOS command window an post the output back here.

Yes, it does. I saved both of them in notepad and both are the same. I also checked ping with other stations on the network, and that is fine. I am still able to access my server, but not to go outside and use Google to search the Internet. Then I right click on my Local Area Connection icon, do disable and anable (or refresh in XP) and I am there, able to search the Internet. It is killing me.....

So you are able to ping local machines when you are having the problem. Can you ping www.google.com? or ping 216.239.37.104 ?

No I can't ping Google or 216.239.37.104. I was thinking that Nortell router which is dealing with IP addresses (DHCP) is possibly the problem.
