error spool32

I installed McCaffe 2006 on my laptop now it starts then brings up my background but nothing else . I am running windows ME ,The computer is a Dell Latitude.I get error code Spool32 ( Spool32 has causedan error in LXAFLMON.DILL ) Spool 32 will now close . I tried a start up CD in when I started up and then I tried a diskette I could not get it to start on either. I read to hit Delete on startup to get it to start from Disk or CD . If anyone has any ideas I will try anything

Also have you tried getting into safe mode? You might be able to do a system restore.
