installing win 95 someone help me

ok my aunt got an old gateway solo 2500 200mhz laptop with no hard drive i went and got her a 6gb and a win 95 disk i have partioned and formatted it but it will not setup windows when i turn it on it will show the windows 95 screen for a second but then go to c: i have tried acouple of the ways i have seen on the net but nothing works and i downloaded a boot disk from bootdisk.com can someone please tell me what im doing wrong.
