hey, I just recently set up a network within my own home between two computers (this one running windows XP pro, and a computer in a room 25 feet from here running windows 98). The connection and everything is fine and I can open up the internet, but whenever I try to browse the web, I get a "script error" message on every page I go to, and on some sites the letters are so small that I cant even read them (like microsoft.com for example) I will go to microsoft.com and go to the downloads page, but I cant read any of the downloads cause there are too small for even an ant to read. This only happens on the computer running windows 98. It is a wired connection using a 50 ft ethernet cable. This computer goes straight into my modem, which goes into the wireless router, and then the other computer is plugged into the router. Does anybody know what the problem might be, and how I can fix it? Thanks

-Brett

Hi and welcome to CyberTechHelp.

I doubt the browser problems are network related but can you clarify something about the setup first?
It is a wired connection using a 50 ft ethernet cable. This computer goes straight into my modem, which goes into the wireless router, and then the other computer is plugged into the router.
Normal connection would be:

DSLModem
----V----
-ROUTER-
-V- -V-
PC1- -PC2

not
----PC1----
-----V-----
DSLMODEM
-----V-----
-ROUTER-
-----V-----
----PC2----

Have you tried another browser on the problem PC?
Are all Windows updates up to date on the W98 box?
