Right click on your network connection icon in the system tray and select 'Change Windows firewall setings'. Then select 'Exceptions' and finally 'Add Port'.

Hope that helps. ;)

Edit: Glad you found it and let us know. I must be getting slow in my old age. ;)

What make and model? Most are pretty easy. Do you know how to log into the router?

Type 192.168.1.1 into a browser. You will be prompted for a username and password most this is admin & admin on most routers. In there in an option called applications and gaming on some router and advanced on other it depends. You will need to enter the info about the port you want to forward my router askes for; Service, Protocol, External port, Internal port, Server IP address.

Only for certain brands. Check the manual for specifics.

Again, depends on the brand, but for security you should change your password ASAP.

Hi vercades. Your router IP should be your default gateway's IP. The default for dlink is 192.168.0.1. Now, the question is how is the firewall on the router currently configured.

What model? Dlink has a couple of different setups. Try admin with no password. You should be able to fine the user manual on dlink's website. If all else fails and you can't get in, you can always do a factory reset.
