What to do if you happen upon a peace rally by stupid
naive college idiots, to teach them why force is
sometimes needed:
1) Approach dumb rich ignorant student talking about
"peace" and saying there should be, "no retaliation."
2) Engage in brief conversation, ask if military force
is appropriate.
3) When he says "No," ask, "Why not?"
4) Wait until he says something to the effect of,
"Because that would just cause more innocent deaths,
which would be awful and we should not cause more violence."
5) When he's in mid sentence, punch him in the face as
hard as you can.
6) When he gets back up to up to punch you, point out
that it would be a mistake and contrary to his values
to strike you, because that would, "be awful and he
should not cause more violence."
7) Wait until he agrees that he has pledged not to
commit additional violence.
8) Punch him in the face again, harder this time.
Repeat steps 5 through 8 until they understand that
sometimes it is necessary to punch back.

Hi
Dodge now I understand why I spent four years in the service. So that idiots like you could impose your will on other people. I always thought that America was the land of the free, where everyone had the right to think and say what they feel, be it popular or not. But I guess to your way of thinking it is not. I would like you to try that with me and I would show you what would happen, I would press charges against you so fast your head would spin.
If what you posted was supposed to be funny, well it wasn't.
With what you posted above, and the way you said it, I put you in the same catagory as the Taliban and the rest of the Islamic fundamentalists, in that there is only one way to think and that is my way.

No the Mods wont delete this. Everyone has a right to their opinions. Right. Well only if everyone is Frosty, is that correct. Yes you have your right, and I have mine.
Seems as though you are a hipocrit. You say that my way of thinking is wrong, but yours is right. Hmmmm, that sounds more like the Taliban than my post.... Yes I thought it was funny. So did others here. If you dont that is fine, I respect that, as everyone cant have a since of humor.
Oh well. I wont lose any sleep over this or any comments you make after this one. So post your Snide remarks at will.
One last thing. Being in the Service I would think you would say that "Make love not war" protest is stupid. Everyone I know that has been and still are in the Service would disagree with you......

FrostyPhrog, you are way out of line. I don't know what your problem is but you come acorss as a narrow minded idiot. I thought you had better class than that. And I wonder why you lay into Dodge and not into Kimmey and me. We agreed with Dodge. What's with that? I too am sick of the peace-nicks that think that Satan can be talked in to being nice. There are many such people out there that would give our Country away in the process of trying this. Some people just don't get it. Too dense I guess.
Just voicing my Freedom of Speach.

I say let's be cautious here. Or maybe I shouldn't say anything because I'm not on the boards very much anymore anyway, I don't know. Not gonna worry about that.
Anyway look, I am of the mindset that force most certainly is indicated and I enjoyed the original post actually, but I see where FrostyPhrog is coming from, and I think if we all sit and think about it, we will admit to being very glad America is and always will be a place where people can express their views, whatever they are. And dissenters are free to dissent. I do think "idiot" could have been left out, but it was clear that he was offended. Like I said, I wasn't....I don't know. I think action is so clearly the right thing to do, but it doesn't mean I'm not afraid of some very serious consequences that might come of it and that I'm not afraid of those. I just feel it's the "only" thing to do.
I am email friends with a group of people across this land and have been for about two years, so yep we've never met but are quite close, and this Sept. 11 business has really, really brought out some shockers in this group. We're at the point where we don't know if we will stay together. I should probably wipe this out. The point is, everyone I think is totally raw over what happened. Everyone in this country and around the world. I just say, be careful how you speak to each other. It can get out of hand quickly.

Frosty, I think all those in agreement with Dodge are just saying that "some" sort of "self defense" is definitely called for.
Turning the other cheek in certain circumstances is commendable. And the US has been doing this right along. We basically slapped their wrists when they tried to blow up the Trade Center in 1993.
Looking the other way will make them bolder and braver. When the issue involves the eventual freedom of the world...then guess what, I'm with Dodge. And I'm sure he's talking of retaliating againt the "bad guys" not the whole country.

even though I said I'm not going to post on OT areas...here it goes...
I just wanted to add that FrostyPhrog came off all mean and badass, but all he said was he'd press charges...I just think that is hilarious...
I don't have an opinion on what we should do here, but I do think that what Dodge posted was funny...(I've heard it before)

Way to go Dodge!
We've tried the peace thing for a long time, we should now try an action that they will understand. I think this plan was executed with our politics in mind. They thought it would be politically incorect to seek vengence.
I will now seek out a peace rally to give am aditude adjustment.

Have to say it was good for a laugh Dodge. I'm sure that kind of humor would be frowned upon by the Taliban.
Oh, just remembered, humor's not allowed at all!!
