Hi...I don't seem to have blank.exe.. how would I be able to get this:confused: I also have an exclamation mark beside my dvd driver in the device manager...when I try to refresh it I can't do it and it won't accept my disc. I try reloading my dvd from the disk and then I get a rpx stub incompatible message. Any help would be appreciated. I'm a novice at this. I'm running windows ME Pentium 111:dizzy:

Have you tried system restore?
Also, you can go into Safe Mode with the startup disk.
At the MS-DOS prompt, type cd\windows\command, and then press ENTER. Where windows is the name of the folder in which Windows is installed.
At the C: prompt, type scanreg /restore, and then press ENTER.
Select the previous registry you want to restore, and then press ENTER.
NOTE: A properly working registry has the word "Started" next to the date.
When you receive notification that you restored a properly working registry, press ENTER to restart your computer.
* I would also check for spyware/viruses.

Hello Tweaker,
thank you for answering so quickly. Yes, I have proceeded the scanreg/restore, but nevertheless there are some files that grow and grow and if I try to open them I get the message that I would need the blank.exe, which wouldnŽ t exist on my system. And I also tried to find blank.exe with the search function, but there were no results. I would be glad to get that blank.exe to become able to open those files. Also I had installed Norton Anti Virus, but my computer became so extreme slowly that I uninstalled it again; there was no virus verified.
Kindly regards

Hello Michael, welcome to the community. :happy:
What exactly are you trying to open that asks for blank.exe?
What ever program or file your trying to open be sure you have the right program to open it.
Check out this thread, might help explain better.
