Hello shaved monkey
I dont have any problems with you posting about VRD, Heck I did the same about hardwarecentral (funny same owners) but I would like to keep it at a minimal amounts of complaints, like could we keep it all on one topic.
I know we have a lot of new members from there and I would like to say your all welcome here and will enjoy your company.
I can tell you all we dont like flame wars and will always keep a close eye on what goes on here, this I add because of your above topic and to let you know that me and maxx are always here.
so with that all said and done I personally welcome you and any one else that may want to join us here.

also, I won't be positng anymore about VDR here, I just figured Mo might want to read it...you may lock the thread so no one else posts...

Hi shaved monkey.

ironside didn't say you posted a flame post just above, just that we here at CTH will not put up with a Flame War. Your post is about a flame war in some far away land, so ironside was just making a friendly warning against one here.

There are flames posted here once in awhile, that can't be helped. But an all out war will not be tolerated.

I dont want to speak out of line, So correct me if I'm wrong Ironside...

Shaved Monkey, I dont think Ironside was saying that you were starting a flame, only that if someone starts a flame war that it will be dealt with. As if someone from Vdr comes here and disagrees with what you said, they will Most likely start a War with you.

Ironsides post seemed more as a Warning to all Possible people from there they want to start something....

No your post didn't seem like a Flame war, just a Note to Mo......

Ironside, like I said if I'm wrong about what you posted let me know.....

Junky said it right IM not saying your flaming this was for all that might come behind you I was making a general statement and using your post as to why we wont put up with it, so you were helping me out by posting this topic.
like I said I would like to keep all complaints in one topic.
but sorry if you misread what I had in mind
but any way welcome to CTH
I'm glad to meet you

Mark, Hi and welcome over here.

I take it this was to have been a reply to the topic started by Shey?

Hope you and everyone else took note of my post there... Please don't use/abuse our off-topic forums to air V Dr's dirty laundry.

thanks for the input...I won't discuss VDR here anymore...
feel free to lock the post just in case...
I don't want to start a war, even indirectly....anyways, it won't happen again, I'll think more about what I post here from now on...
thanks again...
(Nice to meet all of you as well!)

Mark, I doubt very much that it would start a war because there's likely no-one on the opposite side here but the point I'm trying to get accross is that this is not V Dr's dumping ground.
If we have a problem with V Dr, we sort it out there, not here.
I certainly take your point about posting it here where you hope Mo' will see it. I certainly hope she pops in and does see it.

As has been made abundantly clear, any member of V Dr is welcome to join up here and contribute to the more relaxed atmosphere here as well as provide what we all vist these forums for - that is GOOD FREE TECH ADVICE to help those who haven't yet learned as much as we have about these boxes, but we have rules here as well.

Hello mark I hope thats alright to call you that.
I'm sorry you feel like this needs deleted but i feel there is a need for this topic yes it gets hijacked but that ok I wanted to get my point out that i don't have a problem with the content of your message just that we don't do flame wars here, we kind of pride our self's that we run a great place to be at and it doesn't need all of the bickering that has gone on at other sites as you can see I been around for a long time and know what goes on and to put it simply we don't want it.
don't worry about what any one else says we appreciate you coming here and posting with us. let us worry about what any one else says
mpc2 you havent been around for quite some time is there a reason you don't like shaved monkey or junky?
just a question as to why you would want to ask a question as to why we would want to explain something to some that don't know us, has got me confused
