Programme problem

Hi guys.

I have Ulead photo express on my PC, which I use from time to time. I haven't used it for a while, but now when I double-click the icon or my desktop, or try to start it, in any other way, the egg-timer comes on for a second or two, but then just goes off and nothing else ever happens.

I have reinstalled Ulead photo express, but the same thing happes. I assume it is because of something else I have installed since having Ulead photo express? Is there any way I can get around thing please?

I am running XP pro edition. SP2.

Thanks for any posts!

I dont use Ulead photo express but I had a simiular problem with Paint Shop Pro.

The problem stayed after reinstall.
How I solved it was by dleteing the userdata folder in docs & settings.
Ulead photo express may have a userdata folder some where that is not removed when the program is uninstalled.
Have a look for it.

That paint shop pro one was called pspdata and was in doccuments and settings on the C:\ drive but the Ulead photo express one will be different.
Locate it and deleted it.

Now try running the program.

Post back and tell us if this worked.

Hi there.

Ok I found and deleted that file but it didn't seem to have any affect. Do I need to uninstall and install again since deleting it?

Thank you

Hi guys.
I found out that it was a conflict with service pack 2, and just had to rename a certain file!
Thanks for your help though!
