If you press start/run msconfig

you can go to the startup panel with a load of checkboxes, a lot of these programs on my computer have been uninstalled, but they remain listed here.

How do I delete them from this area?

Just untick them.
You will cause no dammage unticking things.
Just stops them from loading at start up and make the system run faster.
Go through and look at every thing google them if you dont know what they are.
You system will start up alot quicker because of it.

I dont think you can delete them from this area with out modifying the regestry. All you need to do is untick them and windows will act like there not there.

Ahh ok, yeah I was hoping for an easy way to have them removed for the sake of making it look tidy. But I suppose it's something that can't be done.

Thanks
