Nerovision Help??

I am trying to burn a AVI file on Nerovision to convert it to DVD but the problem is that when I tried to transcode and write, I keep getting an error come up saying there is an error in writting. I have wasted 2 disks trying to do this, the weird thing is I have tried to transcode and burn it on a DVDRW disk and it worked so why can't I get it to work on a normal DVDR??

I would appreciate any help with this matter, or a step by step guide on how to Transcode and Burn an AVI file to a DVD successfully on Nerovision?

Any help would be greatfully appreciated, thanks in advance for any advice given.
