Office 2000 Repair

After an Add/Remove Programs "repair" of Office 2000 (I assume taking it back to close to the original installation) is it necessary to reinstall all the myrad of security and other patches?

Office Update shows none needed, but I suppose that is because the hotfix "pointers" are still on the system.

However Microsoft manages the updates, are these fixes still in place?

If Windows Update is happy then you should be OK.
Repair does not reinstall but effectively restores files that it does not consider "genuine" and I'm pretty sure it recognises it's own patches as being OK.
