Windows Media Player 10 help!!!

I have had media player for years, but now I have no sound. I have uninstalled it, reinstalled it. all my other programs have sound. I did system restore. Only seems to be WMP trouble. I am running XP home. Thanks

There are several possibilitys.
First run the windows troubble shoting this helps 99% of people with this problem.

Iv done that befor
Good job you worked it out I reinstall all my speaker software and drivers befor I realised it was pressed.
