View Full Version : Parallel port drivers

I have installed a printer on the parallel port with no problem. On my other computer I piggy backed the printer off an Iomega 250Mb zip drive with no problem.
Trying to do that running ME I have no success. I should install the zip drive first I believe but in Device Manager all I get on Parallel Port interface is a yellow triangle warning.
I have tried re-installing several times, including downloading fresh software from the Iomega website. If I detach the zip cable and re-install the printer on its own it works fine with just the printer so I presume the actual port is O.K. I thought at one stage the zip driver had loaded but when restarting the PC it did not recognise any Iomega drives on that port. I have made sure that the drive is powered up first as instructed.
If you delete/remove any reference to the parallel port interface from the Device Manager will that do any harm or will it be renewed with the next application of the software?
Thanks for any advice you can give.
