After getting some excellent help here with removing a virus I am (almost) back in business.
I removed the virus, re-installed Windows 98 and I have a problem on some web pages where the display flickers (for example the Yahoo home page), especially as I drag the mouse. The mouse can on occasion be sluggish as well.
I have an Envision Model 7220 monitor and I have downloaded and installed the display drivers but still have the same problem.
If anyone has a potential solution, I would appreciate any input.
Thanks in advance

Give this a try, and I hope this is of some help?
Clean your mouse. Unplug it and open its circular cover on the bottom by rotating it in the direction of the arrows. Take out the rubber ball and clean it with plain soap and water. Rinse well with water. No chemical cleaners - damage can occur. Clean out the ball cavity with a lint-free wipe. If your mouse jumps or doesn’t move smoothly in one direction, you probably need to clean the rollers. Examine the three rollers inside the cavity. If gunk is caked on the rollers, scrape it off with a toothpick. Don’t let caked debris fall into the mouse. Use a swab and nonalcoholic cleaning solution to remove any remaining dirt. Wipe with dust free cloth. Leave open so everything will dry.
