Install Win98 On Pendrive (possible?)
Hi all,
I have a notebook where there is installed XP home edition. Cause I have critical data I don't wanna risk to lose data trying to install a multi boot system (also because it is my wife's pc... ;-) ) So I asked if it is possible simply to install win98 completely on a 1GB pen drive where I can put the few programs I need. In this way I don't need to use the HDD and I simply can put in and off the pen drive when I must use WIN98. IS IT POSSIBLE ? thank you for your replies. |

Some BIOSs include an option to boot from a USB device, to enable this option hit delete when your computer first starts up to enter the CMOS Setup Utility, look around in the menus for anything that has to do with booting a USB device. However, getting Windows on this pen drive might not be possible, I dont know if it'll show up in the hard drive list in the Windows Install. What you can try is booting the computer from the XP install disk, and look for the pen drive in the selection area (when it asks what hard drive you wish to install to).
