Orginal source: Gimp's (http://gug.sunsite.dk/forum/?threadid=1741)

- Locate thecmllib2.dll in \system32 directory (ususally c:\windows\system32
- copy the file and paste it to a safe backup dir place (as a backup... just in case)
- Locate xmllib2.dll in the \GIMP-2.0\bin directory copy it and paste it in the System32 directory say yes to the overwriting prompt.
--- In case something starts not working or you see strnge behaviours after making the change:
- Locate the original xmllib2.dll file you backed up and copy it back to system32

The problem seems to be reported as thecmllib2.dll overturning the one that gimp needs to use which is causing problems.... If you do not need to use the GTK for anything else the above directions should fix your problem.

Otherwise if another program does require the lib you can copy thecmllib2.dll to the directory of that program. Than the program will be able to find the copy it requires.
