Welcome to CTH

The Windows 98 CD that you have is it?

1. A Upgrade?
2. A full version?

What exactly does it say on the Windows 98 CD you have? This will make a difference.

How Much Hard Drive?
If your upgrading from 95, you'll need to know your Hard Drive space to install from 95 to 98. Belarc will let you know this info.

How you want to Re-Install?
RE-FORMAT then RE-INSTALL (kills viruses that may not have been cot as well)
or
RE-INSTALL only

For RE-FORMAT/RE-INSTALL you will need a bootdisk, either you have 98 or 98 second edition. Have A Blank Floppy A Disk, In Handy If You Don't Already Have a bootable floppy disk.

As MURF said, which version of 98?
FULL VERSION
or
UPGRADE
