can not load windows in my computer

I try to load windows in my computer it starts to load but when it gets to config the hardware it stops what can it be. please help me

Howdy bills13 tech,

Best if you provide more details. Was there a prior issue that led to the install? Is it ME on a system that already had ME (to remove hardware compatibility as an issue)? Items like that, if you would.

it had windows me on it but the blue screen said to re install windows me so i did will tryed to.

Could be quite a few things. Let's eliminate some.

Go here and download Sea Tools to a working computer. Use the downloaded program to create a diagnostic floppy that you can use on the problem computer. Run all scans, and post back here your progress.

I have the disk of Sea Tools Iwill give it a try I got windows to load all the way to seting up hardware initializing its driver database then it will stop. when I restart the computer it gives me a error code that said 0028:coo11492 in vxd vmm (01) +00010492 I do not know what it is so if anyone can tell me it will help me out alot thankyou

The closest I've found to that error is a 95 with a damaged registry issue. Try the SeaTools now (to eliminate some issues), and bookmark This as one of the possible options of last resort.

hi everyone I got windows 98 to load but when I try to upgrade to me it still stops at seting up driver database I thank that one of my ram sticks is not working can this be the problem?
