Well I got the pc back......he said that he needs the installation disk that came with the unit....and I can't find it either......Oh well back to square one.... So if you could explain a little about this ghost disk I would app. it......and I just might have to go to wal-mart or somewhere to find and buy the ME. disk........if anyone has a better idea beside's the trash can please drop me a line........thanks once again.......

hi this is bill ghosting the harddrive will not work you have to get a new disk of windows or if you have a different computer you can copy the hard drive to other one you have to open it up and put the new hard drive on the same ide cable in dos you need to put c:\> copy d:\ winme this will copy the hard drive in the other computer to the new one if you don't want to do that you can buy software to ghost your hard drive. it will be easy that way.because it will walk you through it.

Sorry I didn't get back to you before. but I had another project running too.....Now it's back to this hard disk problem....still can't see why I can't just run the Windows XP on to it....And use the #'s that came with it......Maybe I'm wrong....Nope, I'm sure I'm wrong....lol....but just seem's like it would work....Looks like im going to buy a start up disk .....:confused:
