Is there software, preferably free, that will play or convert movies in .bup mode to something windows media player 9 will play or that will split 4 movies on one dvd to 1 movie per dvd in a more normal format?

BUP = Backup files of the IFO files.
IFO = The IFO files includes information such as chapters, subtitle tracks and audio tracks.
VOB = The VOB files contains the actual video, audio, subtitles and menus.
That indicates the bup files don't contain any video.

I probably mislead you; they will play under xp media player 10. All the file are there i just can't find a way to play them under win98 media player 9. I was wondering if something else would work of if they could be reformatted onto 4 separate dvd's; the original has 4 movies on it.
